Robert Sanna, Executive Vice President and Director of Construction & DesignForest City Ratner CompaniesRobert Sanna has nearly thirty years of leadership experience within the New York City construction industry. An accomplished project and administrative leader, his expertise has driven notable growth in the retail, commercial and mixed use sectors for FCRC. He joined FCRC in 1989 as a project manager, providing project administrative leadership for the construction of One MetroTech Center, one of the first projects at the downtown Brooklyn campus. Later, as the Executive Vice President and Director of Construction & Design Development, he organized FCRC’s construction department with specific emphasis on quality build-out experiences for its tenants and proactive cost and schedule management. This dynamic technical group provided construction administration for over 40 retail, office, residential, hotel and sports & entertainment projects totaling more than 16 million square feet.Over the last 30 years, Forest City has been one of if not the most prolific ground-up developer in New York City. FCRC, as owner, operator, and developer of distinctive and diversified real estate projects in select core markets create value for their shareholders, customers, and communities through place creation, sustainable practices, and a long-term investment perspective.

Bob began his career as a field project manager for HRH Construction, working on such notable projects as the Jacob Javitts Convention Center and World Wide Plaza. Some of Bob’s most high profile projects include New York by Gehry, the 76 story residential building in downtown Manhattan built by world renowned architect Frank Gehry, The New York Times Building, designed by Pritzker Prize winning architect Renzo Piano, and Barclays Center, the new, world class, state of the art sports and entertainment venue at Pacific Park Brooklyn, which is home to the Brooklyn Nets. Bob serves as Co-Chair of the Development Committee for Non Traditional Employment for Woman.

The Commercial Group is Forest City's largest business unit - with 76 retail, office, arena, hotel and mixed-use properties. As of December 2014, the group's portfolio included 38 retail properties with Gross Leasable Area of approximately 12.1 million square feet and 38 office buildings with approximately 10.7 million square feet.

The Residential Group owns and/or manages rental units in urban and suburban apartment communities, adaptive re-use, supported living properties and military housing. As of December 2014, the group's portfolio included 116 apartment communities with over 32,043 units and 10 military housing communities with more than 14,559 units.

Daniel is actively involved in various new construction and existing building commissioning projects since joining HEA with extensive experience in healthcare, commercial, retail and laboratory spaces. He has managed the continuing relationship with the Target Corporation for 6 years, involved in both the project management and hands on commissioning services, including assisting with the development of their initial retro-commissioning services.
